Hello Joy Clair, Friends!  Cathy on the blog today with two cards for you featuring one of the images from Joy Clair’s “You Fill My Day Digital Stamp” set.  I wanted to experiment with coloring blending, which is how these two cards came about.

Card Details

Both cards use the mandala image from Joy Clair’s You Fill My Day digital stamp set.  I printed the card on the left with toner ink on a heavyweight off-white cardstock and then used three colors of  liquid watercolors for ink blending.

The black outlines in the mandala inspired me to create a background that mirrored outlines and use the “doodle” idea.  A bold black sentiment went along with the mandala.

The card on the right used a different kind of blending.

While I used the same three colors as the first card, this one was done with ink blending.  I started by printing the mandala on white cardstock with toner ink and then foiled the image with Rainbow Shattered Glass by Deco Foil.  I cut a section of the foil that was all turquoise.   The “happy” part of the sentiment used the same foil.  The background is the same stencil as the other card, but without doodles inside the diamond shapes.  I really liked how the colors blended on both of these cards!
