Hello friends, Joy here with you today! I have some exciting news! Did you know that you can print digital stamps on to Yupo Paper? That’s right, I just did it! Today’s card features the beautiful stamp set, Refresh the Soul and I paired it with an alcohol ink background. Before I get into the process, I thought I would share that this stamp set comes with a pretty floral image, and the bird below, as well as three sentiments. I have used this one stamp set for Birthday, Sympathy, and now a Friendship card, which makes this an all around good stash builder for all occasion cards. Let’s take a look!
I mentioned that I created this background with alcohol inks on Yupo paper, but did you notice that my sentiment isn’t popped up or printed onto another piece of paper? I am pointing that so that you are aware that digital stamps can be printed onto Yupo using a laser printer. I was so happy to find that out because it is just another way to use your digital stamps. I started out by sizing and printing the sentiment from Refresh The Soul onto Yupo paper, and trimming the panel to an A2 size. From there I applied three alcohol inks in a diagonal and spread it using alcohol blending solution.
Tip: do this in a well ventilated area. For a flowy appearance use the base of a Con air 2-in-1 Hot Air Curling Brush
After my background was complete, I printed the bird image from Refresh The Soul onto smooth cardstock and colored it with Copic markers. I fussy cut the bird out and popped it up with foam tape to add dimension to my card. Super simple… and so much fun! You have got to try this out!!!
