Adventure is Calling . . .

Happy Tuesday! Priscilla here from Nubble Light Designs. Today’s card for the Joy Clair Blog is a  fun “travel” card to send to a friend card featuring the the Good Vibes stamp set from Joy Clair Designs. This collection features 10 fun summer images, including the sunglasses image I used to make this card.

Card Details:

• Created an A2 portrait card base using white smooth card stock.
• Die cut a black cardstock layer and adhered to the card base.
• Die cut a slightly smaller layer of watercolor cardstock and sponged Distress “Vintage Photo” and “Unchartered Mariner” Oxide Inks to create a beach/ocean feel
• Splattered water droplets and white paint to add texture to the scene and adhered over the black layer.

• Stamped and fussy cut out the sunglasses, painted the lenses with  metallic water colors, and added some splotches with orange paint before stamping the palm tree images from the Good Vibes collection on the lenses when the paints had dried.
• Added Nuvo “Crystal Glaze” to the lenses.
• Stamped the sentiment, “Adventure is Calling and I Must Go” from the Good Vibes collection, onto a map patterned paper, and die cut with a stitched square die.
• Distressed the edges of the square with “Vintage Photo” ink and curled the corners before adhering to the card.
• Masked off the square with a post-it note and stamped a compass image (from my stash) over the sentiment.
