Hi Friends!
It’s Susan here today with a card featuring some beautiful sunflowers from the new Such a Blessing Digital Stamp Set that was released earlier this month. If you love autumn, then you will LOVE this set. I needed a belated birthday card, so I paired the sunflowers with a sentiment from the Count Me In Digital Stamp Set.
I printed the images and the sentiment onto some white card stock. Technically it’s one image that I printed twice rotating one so that I had a mirror image of it. The sentiment originally has another line to it, but I cut it down to be just the part I wanted.
I colored the flowers using my Prismacolor Pencils (I’ll list the colors below for you). I started with the lightest color then worked my way to the darkest color layering each one starting at the base of the petal. I then repeated the process back down to the lightest color blending each color into the next while leaving a little white space at the tips of some of the petals.
I colored the leaves with a couple of greens and a little bit of blue. I added some Sheer Shimmer Sparkle spray to a clear stamping block then using a brush I added some sparkle to all the leaves. It doesn’t show that well in the photos but in person it’s perfect.
Here is the list of Prismacolor Pencils I used:
915 Lemon Yellow, 1011, Deco Yellow, 1034 Goldenrod, 1033 Mineral Orange, 1032 Orange, 122 Permanent Red, 946 Dark Brown
909 Grass Green, 109 Prussian Green, 904 Light Cerulean Blue
