Hi there friends and fellow crafters. LeeAnn here with my Monday project for Joy Clair Designs. Today I bring to you a simple you are special card. I made this in slimline format, using the Floral Joy Digital stamp set.
To make my project, I printed the digital image sheet and cut it using my Scan n Cut. I really do love this machine as fussy cutting with scissors is just not for me. This set includes 14 images, 9 designs of flowers and 5 sentiments, including one bible verse. For the coloring, I used Ohuhu alcohol markers. The card base of the slimline card was started out as a 7″ x 8.5″ card scored at 3.5″, this made my overall base 3.5″ x 8.5″.
Back to a simple you are special card!
For this project, I used the inside panel of the largest Nested Scalloped die and second largest of the Nested Embossed Edge dies, both from Kat Scrappiness. The panels are adhered using E-Z Runner Tape. Additionally, for the splatters on the panel, I used Fireworks sprays in Angel Pink and New Sprout. Just a few spritzes of each color and that layer was pretty and complete.
The great thing about this slimline card is that it fits perfect in the standard #10 size business envelopes. To finish off my project I added Spectrum Noir Clear Shimmer to the florals.
