Hello crafty friends! It’s Danielle returning with a great Fall project. I’m using two stamp sets from Joy Clair Designs. The first is Wish Big Clear Photopolymer Stamp Set and the second is Blessed and Grateful Digital Stamp Set. Both are beautiful sets with great images. Since it’s the Fall season and Thanksgiving is right around the corner, I thought this card would be a great design to express thanks … Beautiful, Blessed and Grateful!
When I look at my project, I really like the outcome. I don’t know the exact technique I used, but I call it a peek-a-boo technique. The front of the card has its own design, with hidden elements. After you flip the card open, all other design elements are revealed. Peek-a-boo!!!
Beautiful, Blessed and Grateful Card Design
I started the card by cutting and folding an A2 size card with a top fold. Using the Blossom Dots stencil and Fall color inks, I ink blend color onto the front of the card. I allow the card to dry. Next, I work on the design for the inside of the card.
On a separate piece of card stock, I print out (x2) the digital floral image and its sentiment from the Blessed and Grateful Digital stamp set. The first print, I cut down and adhere to the inside of the card. I color and cut out the flower part of the image and fussy cut it out from the second print. Next, I adhere the flower to the inside panel of the card on the middle image. Then, I color the stem and petals of the middle image.
I step up the card by using a circle die cut on the front of the card. This cut creates the peek-a-boo element. To enhance the card, I add shimmer and shine, along with enamel dots. I love my expression of Beautiful, Blessed and Grateful. What do you think of the card? See more images of the card below.
