Do you remember creating handmade Valentine’s Day cards in junior high and high school for your crush? I wanted to create a card that was similar to a retro handmade card. Have you seen the cute coupon stamp set? I knew I wanted to do something special with it. I fist created a card front with it.
I created a half dozen coupons to go in the card, but I did not know how I was going to display them. To create the coupons I cut down Ranger Stamping paper into 3 by 4 inch cards. I used distress ink to give them a nice red and pink hue. I used Archival inks to stamp the sentiment and borders.
I knew I wanted to do something a little bit different with how to give these coupons. I opted to add a pocket insert into the card. This is something I learned how to do in my planner and it transitioned nicely into this card.
I used several different paper substrates on the pocket including vellum, glitter card stock and regular card stock.
Here is a video I created on how to make this pocket insert:
I hope this has given you some ideas on a different way to create and give your loved ones coupons 🙂
Until next time~ Happy Crafting
