Hello crafty readers and happy February! The Design Team at Joy Clair Designs is excited to share the mood board for this month. Mood boards (also commonly called “inspiration” boards) are a combination of colors, images, textures and patterns that can offer guidance or direction. If you feel like you don’t know where to begin a project, try looking at a mood board and let the creative juices flow. You might just be surprised by the end result!
Let’s take a look at the February 2022 Joy Clair Designs mood board:
This month’s mood board honors Valentine’s Day, (aka the Hallmark season of love) in all its many forms. But, don’t limit yourself to just mushy-gushy looooooove, you can create for any season, holiday or occasion simply by using these colors to inspire you.
Here is a set of cards using the Mandala Love digital stamp set that Design Team member Crystal Komara created inspired by these colors:

The base of both of these A2 sized cards was made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. Using the Gina Marie Designs leaf background die, I die cut both backgrounds and adhered them to the card base. I printed out the Mandala Love digital stamp onto the 80 lb. Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored two of the mandalas using Copic makers. I fussy cut the mandala out and adhered them to the card using 3M foam adhesive. I printed out the digital sentiment and adhered them to the lower 1/3 oof the card. Lastly, I added a coat of clear Wink of Stella to the mandala for added sparkles and a few red rhinestones for extra dimension.
