Hi Joy Clair Fans!  Cathy on the blog today with a foiled CAS card using the mandala image from the Joy Clair’s You Fill My Day digital stamp set.  This card is part of a collection I started to share on the blog at the end of last month.

 

You can see both the foiled image and the “reverse” or negative mandala image.

 

Instead of color, this time I foiled with gold.  Starting with printing the image with toner ink, I foiled with Deco foil and my Mini Minc machine.  You can see in the photo, I created both the foiled image and the reverse image in gold.   This is done by first adhering a double-sided adhesive sheet to paper and then placing the reverse or negative of the foiled image on top.  I love images that look pretty both ways – and it makes two cards!  Who doesn’t love a good two-fer?!?

For today’s card, I decided to make a foiled CAS card; the gold reverse mandala image looked beautiful against white with a few gold accents.  Gold foil shows off the intricate beauty of the mandala. A little fussy-cutting was all that was needed to create the focal point.  The bold “hello” sentiment from the Such A Blessing digital stamp set worked well to finish off the card.
