Hello crafters! Joy here with you for the last time as a design team member. I have enjoyed my time at Joy Clair Designs and have made Forever Friends. I was so lucky to have met the owner, Martha in person a few times and have never met a sweeter or more vibrant person. My life is better for finding Joy Clair Designs and I will miss it immensely, Thank you for all of your love and support over the last two years. Let’s keep in touch!

It was only fitting to choose the Forever Friends digital stamp for my project today. Since we are celebrating Memorial Day here in the United States, I colored this one in patriotic colors, despite it being a birthday card. To create this card I printed the floral image from Forever Friends twice onto smooth cardstock and colored it with Copics. I then fussy cut them with a Scan n Cut to create my arrangement. Making the background was very easy, as I blended Distess Oxides in the colors Chipped Sapphire and Prize Ribbon in an ombre effect before splattering white acrylic paint over it. I also blended Prize Ribbon over the die cut sentiment.

Once the images were fussy I cut placed them along diagonal corners to create movement and interest. By placing them in a manner of hanging off the panel, I was able to trim the down and extra bits along the top of the card and hanging from the sentiment panel. For final embellishment I added silver jewelry wire and gems. I hope that you will give this card a try, and I wish you a Happy Memorial Day!
