Hi Everyone, it’s Priscilla from Nubble Light Designs. Today I have a spring-themed card, once again using the Bonnie Bunnie Digital Set.
On my last card, I colored up the digital image of the bunny holding an egg; this time I thought it would be fun to feature just the watering can, but adding an interesting textured background behind it.
I created this background by first splattering several Distress Oxide sprays on white card stock and then applying “crackle” texture paste through a “trellis-like” stencil. When the paste dried, I die cut this background out using a distressed edge rectangular die and adhered it to A2 size green layer.
I watercolored the watering can using several shades of Distress Inks, adding white gel pen for highlights, before cutting it out using my Brother “Scan Cut” machine.
I added pink and green frames to spotlight the watering can. The sentiment “Happy Spring,” also from the Bonnie Bunnie Digital Set digital stamp collection, was printed out on the same pink card stock, matted with the same green, and adhered above the watering can.
The finishing touch was 3 “rain droplets” adhered underneath the watering can spout.
