Hello friends and happy Friday! I hope you have fun things planned for the weekend ahead. This is Design Team member Crystal Komara here with you today sharing a fun summery themed card using the Penguin Tropical Christmas stamp set. I’m still trying to soak up the last few days of summer before pulling out all my fall and holiday things!
Card details:
This A2 sized card was made with a base of 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. I die cut a rectangular frame from a piece of turquoise plaid cardstock and a piece of kraft cardstock (to resemble sand). I die cut the sun from a yellow piece of scrap paper. I believe the sun die I used is no longer available, but this one from Newton’s Nook is quite similar. I stamped the images from the Penguins Tropical Christmas stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the images with Copic markers and then used my Brother Scan and Cut e-cutting machine to cut the images for me, in lieu of fussy cutting.
I stamped the sentiment “Mele Kalikimaka” in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the kraft cardstock. I adhered the images to the card using 3M foam adhesive and then adhered all of the images to the card. Lastly, I added a coat of clear Wink of Stella to the images for added sparkle! *My personal tip – YES! ALWAYS add extra sparkle! : )
