Hello there crafters, Joy here with you today! Have you been enjoying crafting during the Autumn season? Maybe you need a break from preparing for the holidays and need a thank you note for a dear friend? I have the solution for you. My card today features the To You digital stamp set which comes with three sentiments and two images that are timeless. I used the Joy Clair Designs November Mood Board for my inspiration today which took most of the decision making out of the equation. I don’t know about you, but I need that right now!
I used the reds, yellows and blue violets found in the corn as my inspiration to color the floral image of the To You, digital stamp set. I love this all occasion stamp set because it come with two beautiful images and three wonderful sentiments. I printed the To You image onto smooth cardstock to fill the majority of a 3×6 inch panel, and then colored it with Copics.
Tip: When coloring glass, leave the edges white or tinted slightly gray, and then leave a space before adding color. To obtain the reflective value of glass, add lighter shades of the objects around it. In this example I added hints of red, and yellow. The gray of the outer aspects acts as the blue violet in this example. You can always add a white gel pen to add highlights as well.
To accent the red floral of To You, I used a deep wine color panel and die cut it using the Lattice Mini Slimline die from the shop. I just love the intricate detail of this die. I then added a peacock colored panel before adding the focal floral image. I then applied shimmer spray for added elegance. I used the sentiment from To You printed on Maize cardstock for a pop of color and few gems to complete this card.
Okay I think that pretty much sums up this beautiful, but easy to create card. I hope this inspires you to take a look at the Joy Clair Designs Shop today!
