Happy Saturday Everyone!

Susan here from Creating with Susan with two more floral cards.

I printed one of the images from the You Fill My Day Digital Stamp on Mixed Media paper and used Tombow Dual Brush Pens to color the image using all the colors of the rainbow. After I cut out the flower I popped it up on a panel that I printed the sentiment onto and cut with a stitched rectangle die. To finish the card I added the panel to a white card base.

My second card today uses the Above and Beyond Digital Stamp Set.  I love non-traditional vases for flowers, so the mason jar was right up my alley. I printed the images onto some Mixed Media paper and colored them in using my trusty Tombow Dual Brush Pens. When I was done coloring, I cut the images out then struggled with how to put them together. The bow inside the vase was throwing me off.

I took a break to make some tea and when I came back I realized I never actually colored water in the jar, so I decided the flowers were fake and put the card together. I pieced it all together then using craft foam layered it onto a piece of striped paper before adding it to a white card base. The sentiment is printed on white card stock, fussy cut out then added with some craft foam as well.

Even though I struggled with this card I’m pleased with how it turned out.

Here’s a tip for you. Whenever I cut images without using a die, I take a black marker and go around all the edges. This helps to give the image a finished look and hides any imperfections in your cutting skills.

Thanks so much for spending a part of your day with me.

Take care,
Susan
