Happy Friday y’all! Hope it’s been a productive week, especially for those who started homeschooling and hopefully you’ll get some down time over the weekend to be creative and crafty! Today I’m sharing two see through birthday cards using the Make a Wish stamp set. Birthday and Thank you cards are my most used/made cards, what yours?
Assembling this card is a little tricky because of the extra acetate layer. So, today’s write up is going to be a little different, in an effort to make it clear so you can replicate it!
Firstly start off by resizing and printing the two border images from the Make a Wish stamp set, make sure the image is 4.5 inches wide. After coloring you can use a brother scan and cut if you have one, or fussy cut, like I did. Then I ink blended a A2 piece of paper in rainbow order using distress oxides, and die cut a Happy Birthday script sentiment from it. I stacked the die cut, using some scrap paper.
Assemble Details:
Now to assemble the card, you’ll need :
2 A2 white side folding cardbases, 2 pieces of 4.25 x 5 inch acetate scored at 4.25, double sided tape and liquid adhesive. Then :
1. Add a strip of double sided tape to the short end of the scored acetate.
2. Adhere the acetate to the back of the A2 card front, on the open side, your card should now look similar to a gate fold card.
3. Add adhesive to the colored images from the Make a Wish stamp set and adhere them to the open side of the acetate, and trim the excess.
4. Lastly, stick on the sentiments to complete the card.
The extra step of using a A2 card base is to make sure that you have space to write a message! Make sure to check if you need extra postage when you put it in the mail!
