Hi everyone! Dalis here on the blog to bring you this card, using the “My Succulent” Digital Stamp from Joy Clair Designs. As I mentioned last time, I have a passion for plants, they bring me joy and I can feel the love I put on the back. Sometimes, trying new things does not work as planned, but it’s ok because you learn about the medium you are practicing with.
For this card, start by applying a strip of packaging tape on top of the image. Turn the image around and colored it with alcohol inks. The ink moves in a pretty fun way after the paper is saturated (remember that the back is the plastic of the tape). Once you are happy with the colors that you can see through the paper bring your heat gun to the party! Literally, melt the packaging tape until you can pull it out. The paper will remain sticky, but free of the tape. Remove the tackiness from the paper by adding some shimmer mica to the paper. Only, a faint color of the alcohol can be seen through, but it’s still fun. Make sure you fold some of the back so you can appreciate some of the brightest alcohol color inks from the background. Add some stickers or ephemera and then go to town with some splattering. Have fun with this technique, I have some ideas I will try soon.
Remember you can grab this succulent and the rest of the set at the JOY CLAIR DESIGNS shop.
