Hello crafters!  Joy here today with you!  I hope you had a wonderful week and had a chance to enjoy the last few days of summer. Have  you noticed the bees are working extra hard preparing for winter?  Mine have been crazy in my flower garden  I thought it fitting to share a bee inspired card using the Extraordinary digital stamp set which comes with three images, and two sentiments.  Let’s take a look…

For this card, I actually started with the background first because  I knew it would take a while to dry.  I used Distress Oxide Sprays and Distress Inks on watercolor card to create this background.  It is crucial to dry the panel between each layer of color so that you get the grungy, nuggets of goodness to show through.   While that dried, I printed the bee image from Extraordinary onto smooth cardstock and colored it with Copics.   I printed the bee so that the length would span approximate 4.5 inches, my sizing it in Photoshop Elements.   I also printed the sentiment onto a yellow card stock and die cut that into a hexagon shape.  The background panel was also die cut using a honey comb die from my stash, any that you have would work perfectly.  I added a few gold sequins and gold acrylic paint splatters because no card is complete without a little shine!!!  I really love how this card turned out and I hope you will give it a try!

The Extraordinary stamp set is part of the new released Wonderfully Collection which can be found HERE
