Hello crafters, Joy here with a fun water colored birthday card featuring the Floral Friendship stamp set. Floral Friendship has four images, and four sentiments making it perfect for all occasions throughout the year. Let’s take a look..
To make this card, I started out by printing the Floral Friendship image and sentiment onto Canson XL Bristol Smooth card stock, using a laser printer. In case you are worried about water color paper or Bristol being too thick, most printers have a manual feed option which usually allows for thicker papers. Another fun fact about printing with a laser printer is it sort of leaves a well which is perfect for water coloring. Think of it as being sort of like a heat embossed effect. I didn’t take advantage of this characteristic as I wanted a looser feel. I spritzed the front card panel with water before applying the color with with Karin Brushmarker Pro markers, so that it would flow freely. To finish my card off I added a black mat and a few iridescent sequins.
