Make a Wish

Hi Friends! It’s Susan from Creating with Susan. Today’s image and sentiments come from the Make a Wish Digital Stamp Set. The candles make a fun and festive card for someone’s birthday. This set is perfect for slimline cards but it works great for regular sized cards too.

I printed the candle image onto white card stock and colored the candles with some Prismacolor Pencils. Sorry but I didn’t keep track of the colors I used. Next I cut the image down so the front row of candles fit across the panel then tucked the rest of the candles in behind. The sentiments are printed on white card stock then layered on to black and adhered to the panel to give the look of a 3 tier cake.

There were a couple of smudges on the card which gave me the perfect reason to add some sequins and because I like some dimension on my cards I popped it up on the card base with a piece of craft foam. This would be fun to cover the whole panel with candles for someone who is celebrating a 40th, 50th or 60th birthday then printing the sentiment smaller and adding that to the center of the card.
