Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia here!. I want to share a fall card colored with alcohol markers and inspired with the October Mood Board created by our teammate Crystal Komara.
I am featuring the digital stamp set Thanks from Joy Clair Designs and the Alcohol Marquers Classique from Spectrum Noir. First, I printed the leaves printed included on the Thanks set onto White Smooth Card Stock.
A lot of you have been asking me in which programa I create my digital cards. Normally I used the photography program Ribbet. But recently I discovered Silhouette Studio, a free version of the software that don’t require the electronic machine. Honestly, I am so happy with that program because it is so easy to use and you can find a lot of tutorials on the net.
After print the leaves and sentiment, my first step was coloring the leaves. On this card, I used Alcohol Markers Classique from Spectrum Noir. I used a combination of tones between GY4, CT4, GY2, BO3, BO1, MB1, MB3, RB1, RB2, TN4, TN6, PL1, CG3, YG2 and DG3.
Then, with Harmony Water Reactive Ink and a blender tool, I just sponged around of the leaves very softly. Additionally, I resized the layer with my paper trimmer or small guillotine. To make my card more attractive, I decided to mat the colored layer with the zig-zag stitched rectangle dies. I used the small size of the dies to mat the sentiment.
As final touch and before to assemble all the layers with crafty foam tape, I tied a few loops of black tread around of the left side of the card. Additionally, splattered some gold ink over the sentiment.
