Hello folks! I am here to share a card with you today using the beautiful Cup of Joy digital stamp set from Joy Clair Designs. This is such a beautiful digital stamp set that features flowers and macaroons, tea cups and fabulous sentiments. You can create cards for all kinds of occasions with this stamp set: new home, congratulations, just because, thinking of you…
and let’s not forget Mother’s Day!
Look at all those images! You can even design your own tea cup! And of course, you know me…I am smitten with all the floral things lol.
I created this single-layer card using one of the tea cup arrangements in this digital stamp set,
but I’m definitely going to try playing with the blank tea cup and all those flowers for sure!
I colored this image using my Copic markers and I really enjoy creating the backgrounds with Copics as well. This is a great way to stretch your creativity and coloring skills! If you haven’t tried this yet, I highly recommend it. I’ve found, if you want the image to really be the focal point, try keeping your backgrounds simple. Simple lines, simple details, and neutral colors. I’ve been playing a lot with backgrounds lately and I am really enjoying it. Of course, with an image like this, how can you resist?
I used a sentiment stamp from my stash because I wanted to be able to curve it to fit inside the shape of the cup. I haven’t figured out how to do that with digital images yet, but you can bet I’ll be learning it soon! I know you can do this in one of the cutting machine softwares…probably all of them, lol. To finish off this card, I added some tiny rhinestones from Gina Marie Designs and layered it over a simple brown cardstock. And that’s all there is to it!
I wanted to see what other members of the design team created using this beautiful Cup of Joy digital stamp set,
so I went searching and found this awesome card by Renee and this perfect set of tags by Farhana 🙂
Such beautiful creations, by all of the design team members, wouldn’t you say?
I am heading off to bed, my friends, but Ill be back again soon 🙂
