Hi, Connie here with a couple of really fun cards to create using the Blossom Stamp set and stencils. Stencils add that extra fun element to creating a card. This is my favorite way to create backgrounds for cards. Super easy too!!
Distress Oxide ink is used, with a stencil, to create a very cool background for each card. More stencils or more inks, that is up to you. Mixed media type cards are very forgiving. It is really hard to mess them up. Reason number one why I love this type of technique.
On this card front, one stencil and many colors of Distress Oxide ink were layered to get a creative background full of green tones and a splash of pink color. The cactus images were stamped on mixed media paper and then trimmed out. The images were colored in with the same Distress Oxide ink that was used in creating the background for the card. The card was matted and then added to a folded card. Dimensional adhesive was used to adhere the cactus images to the card front.
This card background used one stencil and one color of ink. The cactus images were colored in with several different colors of green Distress Oxide ink. The images were trimmed out and added to the card front to create a cluster of cactus. The front was matted and adhered to a folded card with dimensional adhesive.
