Hello and Happy New Year Joy Clair Friends!  I hope your 2023 is off to a good start.  I have been thinking about building my supply of “general” cards lately.  It becomes an easy way to have cards available for so many occasions.  Today’s CAS Hello card is super-simple and quick to make multiples of with different patterned papers from my stash.

Card Design:

This card is simple to make using the supplies you have in your own stash.  All you need to get this look is a bold sentiment, a decorative border die, an embossing folder, and some embellishments.  I started with the “hello” sentiment from the Such a Blessing Digital Stamp set. I also used it for one of my favorite cards for the Gather Together release in October 2022.  The font and the upper case letters make this one of my “go-to” sentiments.

Steps:

#1. Import the digital sentiment into a word processing document.  (Once the size was right,  I angled it to line up with my the border die, but it’s not necessary.)

#2. Die cut the sentiment.

#3. Place in an embossing folder and emboss.  TIP:  Adding a buffer over the sentiment makes the impression from the embossing folder softer and less noticeable.

#4.  Adhere the die cut piece over the patterned paper.

#5.  Add embellishments!

I love the look of black and white for this CAS Hello card.  It would easy to make in multiples to have on hand as a versatile card for many occasions. I hope you are inspired to make a CAS card of your own.  Thanks for stopping by the blog! ~Cathy
