Happy Tuesday, Joy Clair Friends!  Cathy on the blog today using Copic markers and fall colors.  I pulled out another image from the Such A Blessing Digital Stamp Set and used the changing leaves in my area as an inspiration for my coloring.

To be honest, I was a bit afraid to tackle coloring the hand and the leaves of this image. However, beautiful cards from my teammates, Priscilla and Tia inspired me to stretch myself and try!

Card Details:

•I printed multiple hand/leaf images on an 8.5″ x 11″  piece of cardstock using an inkjet printer.  One benefit of using digital images is the ability to manipulate their size and orientation.  This allowed me to flip the hand on my card from the one you see in the set above.

•I colored with Copic markers and then I fussy one hand/leaf and two extra leaves.  My coloring and shading were guided by looking at my own hand and the internet for leaves and sweater cuff.

•I popped out the orange leaf at the farthest points of the leaf to give added dimension.

•I finished my A2 card by adding three clusters of black gems around the image and die cutting a sentiment from Joy Clair’s Floral Joy Digital Stamp Set.

In the end, I am glad I pushed myself to color this image and have loved using every stamp in this set!! I hope you feel inspired to stretch yourself creatively this week!  ~Cathy
