Hi folks, Joy here with you today, and that pun was intended. Have you ever tried to tie dye? If so, you know it’s the luck of the draw with the results. Luckily my faux tie dye background worked out perfectly to show off these two critters from the Good Luck stamp set. This digital stamp set is so much fun coming with five images, and four sentiments. You honestly, can’t help but smile when you first see this set! I used the rainbow egg from March’s inspiration board that can be found on our Facebook page for my project. You can join in on the fun too and tag us with your creations! We love seeing what you create!

To create this card, I started by printing the images and sentiment from the Good Luck stamp set onto smooth card stock. I used a Word Document to size my images to fit nicely onto a mini slimline card. I colored both of the critters with Copics and then fussy cut them out.

Next I started on the background by blending Distress Inks in the colors Festive Berries, Mustard Seed, and Prize Ribbon onto water color cardstock. I applied a rough but heavy blend and then applied ample water and let the colors run together to get the tie dye effect. I chose this specific blend, not only because it creates the perfect rainbow, but it compliments the primary colors used in the Good Luck images. Once happy with the blend I used the Tribal Stitched Rectangle Mini Slimline dies to create the fun pattern along the border of my panel.
