Hi, Joy here! Today I want to share a quick card featuring the Joy Clair Floral Friendship Stenciled Card. The Floral Friendship set was newly released this month. In addition, I am using the Diamond Fade stencil by Gina Marie Designs, available in our shop.  Before, getting into the card, I just want to say how excited I am to be on the design team and being surrounded by so many talented and creative folks.  It’s an honor to be here, so be sure to check our social media often to get more inspiration!

CARD DETAILS:

I designed my card featuring Floral Friendship in Photoshop elements. I love working with digital images.  Because this is a digital stamp set that I used, I am able to size and manipulate them to my liking.  Here I arranged them on opposite corners and flipped the images.  From there, I arranged the sentiment in the center and enlarged just a bit to fit on my card.  I printed my card panel on both smooth card stock and masking paper so that I could I blend over the Diamond Fade stencil making it look like the stenciling is behind the scene.   Once the stenciling was completed, I removed the masks and colored the Floral Friendship images with alcohol markers.

MY THOUGHTS:

If you are hesitant to try digital stamps, please know that you can do any of the traditional techniques by using software.  You can design with these in Word Docs, Silhouette suite, and Get Paint, and many others that are free to you.   I chose Photoshop Elements, as I am most familiar with it.  I hope you give these a try as you will find so many creative uses for your digital projects.
