Hello fellow crafters and welcome to my first post on the Joy Clair Designs blog. My name is Farhana, and I’m obsessed with all things paper and ink! I’ve recently started blogging again, but I definitely share more over on Instagram. Stop by and say hi and you’ll get to see my obsession with rainbows!

SPECIAL DETAILS:

I recently started using digital stamps, and slowly learning to resize/edit them, there are so many possibilities for using them! For this set of cards, I started by resizing the images from the Mandala Love stamp set to fit into a 4 x 4 inch square. I then printed, colored (details below) to create a rainbow and fussy cut them (you can use a scan and cut, but I don’t have one of those yet!). To assemble the cards, I used A2 sized kraft card bases, which I dry embossed using a stencil. I then adhered the images from the Mandala Love set to the card fronts, and added a die cut sentiment to finish the card.

The Mandala Love stamp set has three lovely images, and since I couldn’t just chose one, I made three cards! I used different types of coloring mediums and have listed them along with colors I used below!

Coloring medium: Copic Markers  –  Colors used: V12, B34, YG23, Y13, YR 18, R14, RV13

Coloring medium: Derwant Inktense Colored Pencils – Colors used: Fushia (0700), Sea Blue (1200), Apple Green (1400), Sherbet Lemon (0100), Tangerine (0300), Poppy Red (0400)

Coloring Medium: Distress Oxide Inks – Colors used: Seedless Preserves, Salty Ocean, Twisted Citron, Squeezed Lemon, Candied Apple

Thank you for stopping by the Joy Clair Blog! I hope that I inspired you to take a break and sneak in some crafty time!

Till the next time,
Farhana
