Welcome Joy Clair Fans! Tia here from RockyMtnCraftia.com . My design team card for you today celebrates the bonds of sorority and sisterhood featuring a line of skin tones stamped card -so let’s get started!

Pledging a sorority was one of the many highlights in my college career. After using the Hey Girl digi stamp from Joy Clair Designs with the smooshing technique, I wanted to revisit it and focus on my skin tone work.

The Layout:

First, with my editing software to duplicate, I resize and cascade the images down my slimline card. The idea to make this a card for my sorority came alive withing the set itself. In addition, an important part of Zeta Phi Beta is the symbol of the Dove. The line drawing of the Dove in the Hey Girl set made me want to incorporate it into the card. Again using my software, I shrunk the image down and turned it into a “tattoo” on each body.

Skin Tones:

Next was all about breaking out the COPICS and working on my skin tones. As an inclusive sorority, I knew I wanted to push myself and get as many tones possible. Here is my list of markers:

COPICS USED: Top to Bottom:

Soro 1: E23; E57; E59; E29

Soro 2: E33, E35, E23

Soro 3: E21, E33, E35

Soro 4: E00; E21; E11;

Soro 5: E23; E25; E27

Embellishments:

Choosing the embellishments for my card was easy. First, I used a Pearl in the center of each flower, as they are an important symbol in Zeta Phi Beta.  Also,  a sapphire heart embellishment to link my sentiment/title. In addition, I matted on top of glitter and royal blue card stock (Blue & White) are my sorority’s colors to finish it all off!

Thanks for following along, I leave you with a sneak peek of me in college.

Until next time-Get Crafty!
