Hello readers! This is Design Team member Crystal Komara here with you today sharing two slimline cards featuring the beautiful poinsettia border images from the Christmas Joy digital stamp set. I love creating slimline cards and this border is the perfect stamp to enlarge and fit onto a slimline card.
Card details:
These slimline cards measure 8 1/2″ x 3 1/2.” Slimline cards are designed to fit inside a regular #10 business envelope and require no additional postage. The base of my card is made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White smooth cardstock. I then created a scalloped rectangle border from either red or blue cardstock. I printed the poinsettia border from the Christmas Joy digital stamp set and colored it using Copic markers.
Copic markers used on the red card: YG11, YG23, G07, R14, R36
Copic markers used on the blue card: YG11, YG23, G07, B23, B24, B28
I printed the sentiment “happiest of holidays” from the Love Santa digital stamp set and lined that white sentiment strip with a piece of silver glitter cardstock. I added a couple sequins to each card in red and silver, or blue and silver. Lastly, I added a coat of Clear Wink of Stella over the colored poinsettia border for added sparkle. *My tip – ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS add sparkle!
