Hello there, Cathy here to inspire you with another Joy Clair entry! The rich, unusual color combination of September’s Mood Board proved to be the perfect inspiration for my card. I am featuring a Stencil Background combined with the lightbulb and a sentiment included on the My Path Digital Stamp Set from Joy Clair Designs.
Stencil Background Details
My first step was to start by stenciling Gina Marie’s Blossom Dot Stencil for the background using Distress & Oxide inks and then stipple Delicata Golden Glitz pigment ink around the paper.
The next step was to pull some of the rich burgundy color from the mood board by layering stamps and ink splatters on top of the stenciling.
Then, I put the stencil back over the paper and ran it through my die cut machine with a rubber mat to add an embossed texture. Finally, I used the largest Gina Marie Scalloped Stitched Rectangle Mini Slimline die to cut out the background piece.
Once the background was finished, I colored the lightbulb with Copics and cut it with scissors. I “hung” the lightbulb upside down from the top of the card, tied it with gold thread, and adhered it to the card front with foam strips.
Card Details:
The sentiment is printed on white paper and die cut using the smallest die from the Wonky Stitched Rectangle Mini-Slimline set of dies. A few sequins and gold embellishments finish off this fall-colored mini-slimline card.
