Happy Tuesday! Priscilla here from Nubble Light Designs. Today’s card features my favorite pattern –— black & red buffalo check plaid. During the holiday season …. it’s EVERYWHERE (to my delight)! And it’s not just for clothing … why not a black & red buffalo check Christmas tree?
I used a bear sporting antlers image from Joy Clair Making Memories digital set and a layered Christmas tree die to make today’s card.
Making Memories features 3 funny and cute holiday bears and 5 sentiments that can be combined for multiple uses.
Card Details:
- Created an A7 (5 x 7) card base using black cardstock.
- Using the Christmas Tree die, die cut the tree on a white cardstock layer slightly smaller than 5″ x 7″ and adhered it to the black card base.
- Using a plaid stencil, smoothed black embossing paste over red card stock and allowed it to dry before die cutting out the Christmas tree once again.
- Adhered the buffalo plaid die cut tree pieces into the openings in the white layer.
- Printed out the bear onto white smooth card stock, fussy cut it out, and colored it with Copic markers.
- Foam mounted the bear to the front of the card.
- Printed out the sentiment, “‘Tis The Season” onto red cardstock, die cut out, and foam mounted it above the tree.
