Hi crafty friends! Lien here with a Christmas in July card. I make a lot of shaker cards during the holiday season, snow just screams for a shaker, doesn’t it?

For this card I used the Snowy Greetings digi stamp set I printed it out on Clairefontaine DCP 250 gsm cardstock and colored it with alcohol markers. I used a very pale blue together with a colorless blender to add just a little bit of color to the snowman. I fussycut him out. From my leftover paper I quickly cut a snowy hill and die cut three snowflakes.

I added Distress Oxide ink to both. Using a blending brush I applied Tumbled Glass and Speckled Egg. I also cut an A2 size panel to go behind everything and act as a background. Next I blended the background using Chipped Sapphire, Faded Jeans, Stormy Sky, Speckled Egg and a little bit of Black Soot to darken the top even more.

From a red patterned paper I diecut an A2 stitched panel and then used a Pinkfresh Studio blanket stitch oval die to cut a window from it. I backed this panel with acetate, adhering it with double sided tape. Then I used foam tape to go all the way around the window and added it to the corners of the panel as well to not have it sag. I adhered the background panel to my topfolding notecard. In the middle I added sequins and glitter and adhered the window on top. I glued down the snowflake die cuts and propped the snowman and snowy hill up on some more foam tape.
