Hi and welcome back, Joy here with a fun coffee gift card holder that is perfect for  Valentine’s Day! Today’s project features digital stamp sets from Joy Clair Designs that when combined scream “I love you as much as coffee”, using Full Heart, Coffee Mood, and Cutest Love.

Let’s take a quick look at my coffee gift card holder and then I’ll get into how I made it….

I used Photoshop Elements to make this card gift card holder, but you can use Microsoft word or another free program to do the same. I first sized the coffee cup from the Coffee Mood set to fit into a 5×7 area, and then brought in the striped heart from Full Heart and placed it over the “sleeve” to make it appear three dimensional. I then brought in the sweet Elephants from the Cutest Love stamp set.

Tip: If using Photoshop elements, you can erase areas that you don’t want in the scene. In this case I removed the two part heart above the elephants.

I colored the entire image with Copic markers and then cut it out using a cut-n-scan. What’s really cool is you can leave the pattern in the machine and size it up to make a matting piece. In my case I made 2 mats to form the card base. At the very top I scored it at 1/2 inch on the bottom layer and glued just the folded area to the top layer to form the card base.

You may be wondering where the gift card holder comes into play? I’m including my practice layer using an envelope notch punch to hold the card in place. I’m glad I practiced, because I decided to raise the notch up about another inch to have a more stable base.
