Hello crafters, Joy here with a little bit of encouragement today! I just want to tell you that you are stronger, braver, smarter and more loved than you will ever give yourself credit for. I know there’s someone out there that needs to hear that today! My project conveys the same thing through using the Stronger Roses digital stamp set. Let’s take a look…
I made a 5×7 in card this time, because I really wanted the bold sentiment from Stronger Roses to really take front and center for the encouragement card. I sized and printed the images/sentiment on to smooth card stock. I tried out Nuvo alcohol markers that a friend gave me. They worked pretty well to my surprise!
I decided to break out my distress oxides to make this fun background using colors that compliment the Stronger Roses image. In this case I chose Ripe Persimmon, Worn Lipstick, and Bundled Sage. Typically these colors would make mud, but drying each layer of ink in between applying the next one prevented the muddy mix! I matted the front panel to make it pop a little more, and added shimmer to the flowers. Such a fun card, that everyone would love to receive!
