Hello Joy Clare Friends, Cathy back on the blog today using the Such A Blessing digital stamp from the new Gather Together release. Just look at the beautiful fall images and sentiments included in the set! I took advantage of the ease of layering digital stamps to create a sunflower mini slimline card.

 

Digital Designing:

I am not particularly tech savvy, so I assure you the process is simple! This stamp set had the perfect digital image for a sunflower mini slimline card.  All I had to do was create a new document in my word processing program.  I opened the Such a Blessing digital stamp set and dragged the sunflower image onto my document. Then, I dragged a second sunflower onto the document and moved it “behind” the first one.  Instead of a trio of sunflowers on my screen, I had a collection of five, making it the right length for a mini slimline card!  My next step was to drag the “Hello” sentiment onto my document and size it to compliment the sunflowers. Finally, I printed the page with my inkjet printer.

Card Construction:

I colored the sunflowers with Copic markers and then fussy cut them.  The sentiment was cut it into squares so I could use the letters vertically on my card.  I die cut a white background with Gina Marie’s Scalloped Stitched Rectangle Mini Slimline dies and yellow patterned paper with Gina Marie’s Wonky Stitched Rectangle Mini Slimline die.  You can find these two dies and the whole collection of Mini Slimline dies on special for $10 a set in the Joy Clair Designs Shop.
