Hello and welcome, it’s Angie here with two inked backgrounds and frames that I made to create a fun spring-time card using Joy Clair’s “Wish Big” stamp set.  I’m am ready for winter to be over and have been having fun making spring cards.  Joy Clair has some beautiful sets for spring cards and today I used one my favorites!

Two Inking Backgrounds and Frames

I experimented with backgrounds for this card.  The first layer on top of the card base was dry embossed.  I inked up the embossing folder with Simon Says Stamp “Surf Blue” ink, then ran it through my Big Shot.  Next I cut it with dotted rectangle die.  I stamped the sentiment and the images and lightly colored them with Zig Clean Color Markers.  I used same color ink and a brush applicator to add blue to the top of the stamped panel, then cut that with a smaller rectangle die.  The bottom layer is popped up on foam tape and the colored panel is adhered to it with liquid glue.  To finish my card I added some light blue Nuvo drops.

Here’s a closer look at my card:

I made a 2nd card with the same set, very quick and easy – a lot like my first one.  I cut the center out of a piece of pastel plaid paper from my stash and then added part of the same image inside the opening.  It was also colored with Zigs and I fussy cut a little butterfly from the same set and popped it up on the edge of the circle.  This time instead of Nuvo drops I used droplets from the Stamp Market.  Here’s a couple of views of my 2nd card:
