Mother's Day Challenge

An album for each challenge will be posted in our Facebook Group. You only need to upload your photo! Create a card or project using a Joy Clair stamp or digital download showcasing anything celebrating Mothers. Winner will be randomly picked on May 6, 2020. The winner will be able to pick a free digital download of their choice. All entries must be uploaded to the Challenge Album by midnight EDT on May 6, 2020.

HERE IS THE INSPIRATION!

Mother's Day Challenge

I started with a white piece of card stock and die cut it with a die from my stash.  In a separate piece of card stock, I stamped, colored and fussy cut the pigs hugging from the Mother’s Day Love Stamp Set.  Additionally, I cut the piece of green card stock to look like a grassy background and matched it to the white die cut piece.  I cut a strip from the piece of pink card stock and matched it to the top of the white piece.

I popped up the image with 3D Foam Squares and placed it on the grassy area.  With an oval dies, I create the perfect mat for my stamped image. With Dual Tip Glue Pen I glued small hearts inside the oval.  Then, I fussy cut the sentiment, shadowed it with a piece of black card stock, and popped it up on the center top of the card.  To finalize the card, I pasted the decorated layer over a black card base.

For my second project, I used the Digital Download My Heart.  To make it most special, I inked a white layer  with several pink inks to create the background. Additionally, I embossed this layer with a heart die cut. Then, I colored and fussy cut the heart image with the same pink inks.  I pasted the background to the card base with 3D Foam Squares. And added piece of ribbon from my stash to the card.  As final touch, the sentiment from the Mother’s Day Love Stamp that I put over the bow.  My final touch, the small gold hearts that I added as embellishment.

TIP: The card stock I use to print my downloads on is 80lb Neenah Solar White.  Any layering weight card stock would work.

Thank you for stopping by! Have fun creating. I am looking forward to seeing everyone’s creations HERE. Have fun and celebrate Mother’s Day!
